What is Camp?

Camp is fun, and more! Camp is where mutual respect, trust and teamwork between campers and staff are cultivated. From that, they forge friendships that are strong, caring and will last a lifetime. It is spending time with great counselors and learning from their example and leadership. It is adventure, achievement, learning to live with others, sharing, personal growth, and of course fun!

The diversity of the campers and staff and a rich tradition of camping excellence make every day exciting. No wonder campers return year after year to their summer “home” at Camp Lake Hubert.

Four and Eight Week Camps

Camp Lake Hubert offers a traditional four or eight week overnight camp experience for girls that are currently in 2nd through 11th grade. This means a well-rounded, balanced program of land and water activities in a very traditional northwoods camp setting. Campers, parents and alumni have found that these programs offer the best opportunity for fun, friendship, and personal growth and discovery.

With its idealic setting on Lake Hubert and reknown facilities and activities, Camp Lake Hubert’s four and eight week programs provides girls ample time to enjoy and develop skills in horseback riding, sailing, archery, riflery, dance, gymnastics, lacrosse, high ropes, climbing wall, water games, arts and crafts and many more. .

Three Week Camp

Our Three Week Camp provides the opportunity for campers to gain more time at camp, but whose summer schedule may not allow participation in our four or eight week camp. This experience features a well rounded approach to the camp experience, with campers participating in additional activity choices and signup blocks, thus allowing more time for expanding interests and for increasing skill development. Three Week campers may also choose to participate in some of the hiking, canoeing, backpacking and other adventure trips.

As in all our sessions, we value safety, respect and selflessness toward others; and strive to create a community that fosters personal growth and development, excellence, quality relationships… and fun.

Two Week Camp

Families and children today keep a busy summer schedule, and Camp Lake Hubert strives to provide a variety of camp choices for parents, so that the benefits of a good camp experience can happen. Our Two Week Camp is an option for girls who are current 2nd through 6th graders. By nurturing positive cabin communities and encouraging campers to explore new activities and interests, campers are introduced to the fun and advantages of a good residential summer camp experience, just in a shorter timeframe.

Two Week Campers participate in an array of traditional camp activities including:

• Three blocks of four activities per day (camper chosen).
• Two Special Days.
• Overnight campouts on camp property, which provide the opportunity for learning basic wilderness skills such as fire building and tent camping in preparation for future, longer adventure trips off camp.
• Traditional and new camp songs.
• Friends from all over the USA and the world!
