“I love working at Camp Lincoln because there is nowhere in the world as beautiful and everyone at camp feels like family!”

“People often talk about having to stop coming to work at camp in order to “get a real job.” Though this may be true for some, I have learned for myself that working at CLH is a real a job as any other. Working at camp for me has meant having the amazing opportunity to be a part of influencing and bettering the lives of girls, which is a great responsibility and not something to be taken lightly. Thus, over the past three years, working at CLH has become much more than a job. Each summer I have left with a feeling of having both benefited from and contributed to the camp community and the young women there. I have continuously seen and experienced first-hand how women and girls benefit from the mission and goals of camp, and would love to be a part of that for another summer.”

“As a counselor and former camper, I have learned many things, but one of the most meaningful is CFAB. Camp Friends Are Best. It couldn’t be any more true!”

“Camp to me means a special place where a kid can be a kid; an adult can conquer challenges, and where friendship knows no boundaries. It’s a place where self discovery and learning happens every day, yet where fun and laughter prevails. At CLH I was given an opportunity to influence the lives of children, and to help create memories that will last them a lifetime. In doing this, I was influenced by children, and I have memories that will last a lifetime. I don’t know of any other place that can do this. Discoveries like this one are what make a camp setting so unique. Maybe it’s the pounding of a beat on a table. Maybe it’s the hug from a camper. Maybe it’s the joy of seeing your ‘camp family’ again that you only get to see in the summer. Whatever it is, camp is special.”
