At Camp Lincoln, our campers and staff learn to recognize the value of our traditions. Singing, without a doubt, is one of our most apparent traditions. Before and after meals, at campfires, and when exploring the many paths of camp, campers and counselors can be heard singing camp songs to show their camp pride and spirit! Through the years, there have been many songs introduced to Lincoln, but here are 3 of our favorites:
“Cheer for Camp Lincoln, through thick and thin
Lincoln’s the place where good times begin, Rah Rah Rah
Of all the rest boys, Lincoln’s the best boys,
so for our camp, let’s cheer: RAH RAH!” (Repeated twice)
“Oh, the Lord is good to me,
And so I thank the Lord,
For giving me the things I need:
The sun, and the rain, and the apple seed,
The Lord is good to me, amen.”
Peel bananas, peel peel bananas.
Peel bananas, peel peel bananas.
Slice bananas, slice slice bananas.
Slice bananas, slice slice bananas.
Eat bananas, eat eat bananas.
Eat bananas, eat eat bananas.
GO BANANAS! GO GO BANANAS!
GO BANANAS! GO GO BANANAS!
Over 40 land, water, adventure, and challenge activities are offered to campers during Two and Four-week Camp.
In addition to our 40+ activity offerings, Camp Lincoln plans Special Days once a week for all campers and staff!
We know that one of the best and fastest ways to build connections among campers and staff alike is by singing camp songs together.
