Canoeing
As a cornerstone of Camp Lake Hubert’s Wilderness Program, our Canoeing Program focuses on teaching campers the fundamentals of lake canoeing. We have a fleet of 17-foot aluminum canoes for use on trips and instruction. While at camp, instruction is focused on teaching safety, strokes, steering, and portaging, while tracking progress with an achievement-based awards system. In accordance with Camp Lake Hubert’s safety standards, all campers and staff wear lifejackets while participating in this activity.
