LT Reflection: And, We’re Off!
The first wave of kids has arrived and the fun has commenced. At the opening 2K15 campfire, we sang and whipped our hearts out with the old favorite songs, and a new twist to a pop song. This session has potential of being the best camp session yet because of everyone’s passion for camp.
The shores of Lake Hubert bustled with joy during the first block of activities as the campers finally got back to their favorite water activities like Sailing, Loon Jumping, Fishing, Windsurfing, and many more. I can speak for all the LTs in saying that we are pumped to be able to meet so many new campers from all over the world!
So far, everyone is just beginning to get into the camp flow as the LTs begin their journals and the campers get into the swing of activities. All is well and moods are at an all time high from the fact that we are all in the best place in the world. I could never be more proud to say I go to camp Lincoln, and now that I’m an LT it is unbelievable. Being in a position of leadership is amazing. Thinking back on my time as a camper, I understand how much this year’s campers look up to us. My fellow LTs and I want to make this the best session it can possibly be.
This year’s staff is an all-star staff, ready to show these campers the full camp experience. With the staff, Color Wars, and other traditions the campers love, we could really see some amazing sportsmanship and competition, and I’m very excited to be a part of it. This could easily be one of the best sessions ever, and I am privileged to be a part of it. I cannot wait to see how it goes.
