LT Reflection: Start Off With a Bang!
For the first few days, the campers have been able to successfully settle into to the camp community. Sadly, the first morning activities were canceled due to inclement weather. However, following our power lunch of tater tots and chicken nuggets, activities (and the sun) resumed for the afternoon. After Rest Hour, campers enjoyed their third- and fourth- period activities like Riflery, Riding, Water Games, Frisbee Golf and many more. After Freeswim, a time when campers are free to do swim in Lake Hubert and participate in a few activities around camp, we had dinner where the amazing Camp Lincoln Kitchen Staff prepared a whopping 900 burgers for all of the campers and counselors. Campers took part in a make-your-own burger buffet and hang out with their cabinmates throughout the meal. After Dinner, LTs lit the torches to kick off the opening campfire where campers and counselors alike can share their experiences, sing traditional camp songs, and participate in fun skits. In all, camp is going great and it’s only going to get better!
