By: Patrick Kennedy / Nov 18, 2025

What Is Intro Camp?

Back and better than ever is our Intro Camp! We are proud to reintroduce Intro Camp back into our camp program, with 2026 marking the first year back since 2018! Intro Camp is a five-day overnight camp program at Camp Lincoln and Camp Lake Hubert, designed specifically for children currently in Kindergarten through 2nd grade. It provides a structured, age-appropriate introduction to camp life, balancing fun activities with attentive care.

This shorter session is ideal for families who want their child to experience camp for the first time without committing to a longer stay.

Why Choose Intro Camp?

  • Confidence Building: Campers gain independence in a safe, supportive environment.
  • Community Connection: Small cabin groups foster friendships and teamwork.
  • Skill Development: Activities include swimming, boating, arts & crafts, sports, and campfires.
  • Smooth Transition: A shorter session helps first-time campers adjust comfortably to overnight camp.

Not sure if your child is quite ready for overnight camp? They may be ready sooner than you think- check out this article from the Fresh Air Fund explaining some of the ways to know if you child is ready for sleepaway camp!
