Camp Lake Hubert's sailing program is designed to cater to all skill levels, ensuring every camper can learn and grow at their own pace. Our classes are led by trained staff, providing a supportive environment where campers can develop their sailing abilities, from beginners to advanced sailors.
Our diverse fleet includes E-class, C-class, X-class, M-class, 420's, and Picos, providing ample opportunities for campers to learn essential skills such as rigging, knots, points of sail and boat safefty. With the steady winds of Lake Hubert, it's an ideal setting for instruction and practice allowing campers to fully immerse themselves in the sailing experience.
Safety is paramount in our program, and life jackets are required for all participants to ensure a secure and enjoyable sailing experience. At Camp Lake Hubert, we are dedicated to fostering a love for sailing while empowering campers to achieve their personal best.

Camp Lake Hubert's canoeing program takes place on the serene waters of Bass Lake and focuses on teaching campers the fundamentals of lake canoeing. This course provides campers with essential skills for a safe and enjoyable paddling experience.
Our fleet consists of 17-foot aluminum canoes, ensuring campers have sturdy and reliable vessels for their adventures. Throughout the course, campers learn vital skills such as safety protocols, paddling strokes, steering techniques, and in some cases, portaging. Safety is a top priority in our canoeing program, and all campers and staff are required to wear life jackets while participating in this activity
Kayaking
At Camp Lake Hubert, we incorporate single-person kayaks into our Wilderness Program, focusing on teaching essential kayaking skills.
Our kayaking curriculum emphasizes fundamental skills such as paddling, steering, capsizing, and T-rescuing. Our experienced staff track each camper's progress using an achievement-based awards system, allowing them to see their development and accomplishments in kayaking.
Safety is a priority in our kayaking program, and all campers and staff must wear life jackets while participating in this activity.
Waterfront Activities
Dive excitedly with our Waterfront activities, closely monitored by American Red Cross-certified staff. Experience the thrill of running the Water Wheel, enjoying our zipline into the water, conquering the Water Weenie and having a blast on the Water Mat. Our Waterfront offers a variety of engaging activities, including a Polar Bear swim, snorkeling, Water Aerobics, Water Volleyball, and free swims and All Camp swims. For added adventure, campers can also enjoy banana boating and Swan Jumping as an evening activity, along with a range of fun water games.

Archery
At Camp Lake Hubert, we offer campers the opportunity to shoot high-quality recurve and compound bows with target-tipped arrows on outdoor ranges ranging from 10 to 50 yards. Our shooting ranges allow campers of all abilities to learn, develop, and perfect their archery skills, which they can track through an achievement-based awards system.
Safety is paramount in our archery program. Campers are always supervised while at the range and must follow an established set of range commands and safety procedures. Additionally, they must demonstrate the proper use of safety equipment when shooting.
Riflery
At Camp Lake Hubert, learning firearm safety is paramount to us. Our program allows campers to shoot .22 caliber rifles on our 50-foot outdoor rifle range, where they practice in prone, kneeling, and standing positions as they progress in skills and knowledge.
Safety is our top priority in all activities, especially in shooting. Campers and staff must wear ear protection while on the range and eye protection when shooting. They must also follow established range commands and rules to ensure a safe shooting environment. Targets are placed on carriers pulled in and out, guaranteeing that no camper or staff member crosses the firing line at any time.

At Camp Lake Hubert, campers can learn trapshooting using 20-gauge shotguns on our outdoor range. Our program emphasizes firearms safety, teaching essential safety rules, shotgun parts, care, and practical shooting techniques. Campers receive explicit instruction on safe shotgun handling, focusing on responsible firearm use. All participants must wear ear and eye protection while shooting.
Campers must be at least 12 years old to join the trapshooting program. They can track their progress through an achievement-based awards system, helping them witness their growth in skills and knowledge.
Crafts
At Camp Lake Hubert, we offer an exciting array of crafts activities that inspire creativity and self-expression. Campers can dive into the art of Candle Making, explore the world of Drawing and Painting, or get hands-on with Fimo and Beading. Our diverse offerings also include Tie-Dying, Stationery Making, Decoupage, Photography, and Batik.
Campers are encouraged to unleash their imagination and experiment with various artistic techniques in this vibrant and nurturing environment. With the expert guidance of the Camp Lake Hubert Crafts Director, each camper can discover their unique style and craft creations that reflect their individuality. Whether a beginner or a seasoned artist, every camper is supported in their creative journey, making crafts a genuinely enriching experience at Camp Lake Hubert.

Climbing Wall
Nestled at Camp Lincoln, the Midwest's premier outdoor climbing wall features an impressive 56-foot vertical face and a 60-foot multi-inclined back face. At 14 feet wide, this climbing wall can accommodate up to three climbers on each side simultaneously.
Adjacent to the climbing wall is our Bouldering Wall with tunnel which stands 10 feet high and offers 76 feet of climbing length. Campers of all ages are drawn to the challenge and confidence-building opportunities of conquering these climbing structures.
The grips and holds are thoughtfully arranged to provide climbers of all skill levels—from beginners to experienced team climbers—with valuable physical and mental growth experiences. All participants on the climbing wall must wear helmets and harnesses when climbing.
Challenge Course
Our Challenge Course built to foster teamwork and personal growth through engaging activities. Featuring a continuous belay system, campers can safely navigate various elements while encouraging one another and building trust within their groups.
Our course includes fifteen unique elements that promote effective team building, requiring collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills. Each challenge allows campers to leave their comfort zones and embrace our "challenge yourself" philosophy.
With the guidance of specially trained staff, campers are tested physically and mentally as they tackle a series of challenging elements. Participation on the Challenge Course provides campers with a profound sense of accomplishment and a deeper understanding of themselves.
