Counselor

Counselor

Camp's core cabin staff position. Each cabin contains typically 16-22 campers and 4-6 staff. Counselors are members of the cabin staff team responsible for campers in an assigned cabin and a specific chalet group within that cabin. You will be responsible for that same cabin group for 2-4 weeks. Responsibilities include overall care of campers and cabin, correspondence with parents, enforcing safety rules, leading events, teaching activities, monitoring campers in the dining hall, equipment & supply care, knowledge of emergency procedures, record keeping, and ensuring that the campers in your cabin have the greatest summer of their lives!
Head Counselor

Head Counselor

Head Counselors are the designated leadership staff member of each cabin. A Head Counselor is responsible for the campers and staff within an assigned cabin and a specific chalet group in that cabin. Head Counselors can expect to be responsible for the same cabin group for 2-4 weeks. Head Counselor oversees the overall supervision and care of the campers and staff in the cabin. Head Counselors are also typically expected to take on a leadership role within their division, while also completing the basic duties of a General Counselor, including correspondence with parents, enforcing safety rules, leading events, teaching activities, monitoring campers in the dining hall, equipment & supply care, knowledge of emergency procedures, record keeping, and ensuring that the campers in your cabin have the greatest summer of their lives!
Activity Director/Specialist

Activity Leader

Each activity area at Camp Lincoln & Camp Lake Hubert requires someone to lead that Program. Activity Directors/Specialists' responsibilities include the overall operation of that area, programming, developing and implementing lesson plans, camper instruction, setting and enforcing safety rules, record keeping, evaluation of campers, overseeing staff assigned to assist in the area, camper award systems, equipment and supply care, maintenance, knowledge of emergency procedures, and staff training. We look for prospective staff in numerous skilled areas, including Sailing, Horseback Riding, Archery, Riflery, High Ropes, Climbing Wall, Arts and Crafts, Waterfront, Windsurfing, Outdoor Camping, Photography, Mountain Biking, Radio/Podcasting, Baseball, Basketball, Dance, Drama, Ecology, Fishing, Fitness, Golf, Guitar, Gymnastics, Kayaking, Lacrosse, Martial Arts, Pottery, Rowing, Tennis, and Trapshooting.
Health Care Staff

Health Care Staff

Our Health Care Department is essential for the Camp to function. At each camp, we have two Health Care staff, an RN and a student nurse, EMT, or graduate nurse. We also have a Camp Doctor who lives at one of the camps and is present daily at each camp's morning clinic. The basic responsibilities of our Health Care staff are to collect medications on arrival days, log the medications, set up the distribution system and ensure that meds are passed, complete all paperwork as needed, assist in basic first aid as needed, and correspond with parents.
Office Staff

Office Staff

Our office positions are perfect for anyone that wants to work at a camp, and still gain administrative experience for their resume. Staff members working in our office need strong computer and communication skills. A lot of time is spent talking to parents on the phone and organizing/imputing important data. Overall, the people best suited for this position are flexible, detail-oriented, and outgoing. Other responsibilities of our Office staff include coordinating camper travel and transportation, greeting visitors, distributing mail, and completing basic accounting tasks. Internships are available and encouraged for our summer office, and operations staff.
Food Service

Food Service

Our Food Service staff are a key part of Camp's overall operation. Our team is typically 25-30 people who provide three meals a day (with salad bars) to about 700 campers and staff between both camps. The Food Service staff are also responsible for special event meals, banquets, cookouts, trip pack-outs, picnics, and decorating birthday cakes. This operation provides a fun way to gain on-the-job food service experience for anyone aspiring to become a Food Service Professional. Positions within our Food Service Department include Food Service Manager, Cooks, Bakers, Salad Prep, Food Runners, and Dishwashers.
Driver/Warehouse

Driver/Warehouse

The Driver and Warehouse crew work within our central Warehouse at Camp Lincoln. These staff members, and one Camp Lake Hubert Driver, have a variety of responsibilities, including overseeing and purchasing supplies, driving campers and staff in our vans to off-camp activities, basic maintenance, and other special projects as needed.
