In addition to our 40+ activity offerings six days a week, Camp Lincoln plans Special Days once a week for all campers and staff! Special Days add excitement, variety, imagination, and flair to everyone’s time at camp. Along with the two brand new Special Days and Color Wars Pt. I and II, the biggest day of them all, Camp Lincoln also hosts multiple special events. Some examples of our Special Days and events include:
The gentlemen of Camp Lincoln have an exclusive invite to the BEST Camp Carnival anyone has ever seen! We have something for everyone: Bungee Runs, Jousting, Sumo Wrestling, Moon Bouncing, Balloon Darts, Water Ring Toss, Face Painting, Monster Sliding, and much, much more. That's right, we have world-class attractions to thrill and excite!
Happening twice per Four-week session at Lincoln, Color Wars is one of the biggest and most exciting camp traditions to ever grace the shores of Lake Hubert! Once a camper is assigned to either the Red Team or the Blue team, they will forever be a valued member of that team, carrying their color through the generations within their immediate family. Throughout the day, teams compete in various activities to gain a strategic edge for the exciting culmination of Color Wars – A gigantic relay race that winds through the entirety of camp and involves every single camper. The relay race ends when the elected captains burn through a rope suspended above their team fire.
Though Lincoln and Hubert are single-sex camps, Three and Four-week campers, who have finished the 7th grade, get together once every four weeks at Camp Lincoln for a themed evening of dinner, games, and supervised dancing. The Camp Lincoln Leadership Training Level 1 Participants (LT 1s) plan, DJ, and facilitate the evening for all campers and staff in attendance. Who is ready to get their groove on?!
We all know how important birthdays are for all of us. Campers with birthdays during camp are treated to a giant camp-version of the birthday song in their dining hall, as well as a homemade birthday cake to share with their cabin. A very special day indeed!
Many of our campers have siblings across the lake at Camp Lincoln. Twice every Four-week session, we hold a lunch for our attending siblings at either camp. Our staff will entertain the siblings who will play games, while enjoying special field Meal together. Siblings will get the chance to visit with each other and share the exciting memories they have made at camp so far.
The staff at Camp Lincoln did a wonderful job giving him the self-confidence he needed to have a successful camp experience.
I love hearing about how independent he was at camp. And I love that he's learning that he can be away from us, and miss us, but still have fun with what he's doing.
Camp Lincoln exceeded my expectations. Quinn came home being even more open about trying new things and having made lasting friendships.
